An Easter Giveaway!
Posted by Kristen on Mar 11, 2013 in Giveaway! | 16 commentsHey folks,
Spring is in the air!! We spent the weekend outside soaking up the sun, getting the yard spruced up and having our first chipmunk spottings of the year! Not sure which neck of the woods you find yourself in but our neck of the woods is SOOOOO READY FOR SPRING! So to bring on Spring I thought we would do a giveaway! My friend over at Three Loves has generously offered…
A $20 Giveaway from THREE LOVES Handmade on Etsy!
A few months back I did a bake sale at a friends beautiful barn! I met a sweet gal named Mary and she has a wonderful etsy shop called Three Loves! Her stuff is adorable. You may remember that she made the boys Christmas shirts. She makes the most adorable little girl skirts, bow ties, baby products, etc. What I love about her products is that the fabrics are cute and vibrant but also thick and quality. Check out her shop THREE LOVES and grab some goodies! Seriously you will not go wrong! With all of this going green and eating natural and such there is also the need to move towards supporting people that are working and using their skills!! And Mary, she’s got skills!!
Mary opened her Etsy shop in April of 2010, almost three years ago. At the time, she had a 6 month old baby, and had been busy sewing things for her and all of her friends and family members who were having babies. At all the baby showers she would go to, she kept hearing, “You should sell this!” And, so she decided to do just that! She started with just a few simple onesies, a bib, and a set of burp cloths, and it has grown from there! She really enjoys sewing and the chance to be creative with different fabrics. (Plus, she’s accumulated quite the fabric collection!) She loves that she can make small handmade goodies, package them up, and send them off to people near and far. It makes her happy, and hopefully others too!
When I was a little girl I always looked forward to picking out a new dress for Easter. I remember a certain white frilly one that my mom bought me one year, and the blue and white nautical one another. My parents didn’t have much money when we were little but this was a special tradition and while most of my clothes were hand me downs when it came to Easter it was something picked just for me! It felt so special.
To enter the giveaway leave me a comment in the comments section on your favorite Easter and spring memories! You don’t have to have a little one of your own to enter! Think of someone you know that might love a surprise this spring! You can win it for a friend!
Winner will be announced here on the blog on Wednesday. We will randomly select the winner of the giveaway and the winner will receive $20 towards Three Loves! And if you can make a choice fast Mary can have your handmade goodness to you in time for Easter! (International friends are welcome to enter as well but would need to pay toward shipping and it might not arrive in time for Easter! I promise I will do a more international-friendly giveaway soon!)
Be sure to share this giveaway with all of your friends!! Everyone is welcome!
Happy Spring!
Very fun stuff! I love spring because it leads up to my favorite season — summer! One of my favorite Easter memories is the first one we had with our son when he was about nine months old. We had him roll around on the ground in our house to find his eggs which were not so hidden. 😉 It took forever, but it was so fun to watch.
My favorite memories are of the Easter egg hunts in my parents’ backyard. Then later in the year, there was the hunt for the missed eggs, and whoever found the egg(s) got Blue Bell!
oh my GOODNESS! The adorableness!!!! Easter was always so warm when I was growing up in New Mexico…loved getting dressed up and taking pictures next to the blossoming trees. Usually not warm enough to wear a dress in Maine these days, ha!
Thanks for the chance at the giveaway; I’ve found a new favorite shop!!
My church used to have a balloon launch every Easter! The children would release hundreds of helium balloons that said, “Jesus is Alive!” on them! It was always such a thrilling moment after the Easter service when everyone would gather and release the balloons all at the same time! Praise the Lord, Jesus is Alive! :o)
We went to visit the Mitchell’s in Colorado Springs at Spring Break/Easter. It was cold in March and we wore our regular winter “church” clothes. Everyone else was wearing their springy Easter finery in the freezing cold. It was a great church service but we weren’t dressed for the season.
My favorite Easter memory was, and still is, hunting for Easter eggs! It has definitely been more competitive as we have gotten older, but so much fun!
I really enjoyed Easter last year when my daughter was almost 2 years old. Her grandparents hid eggs filled with Goldfish crackers all over the back yard. She and her cousin lived hunting for the eggs and putting hem in their baskets. Once they figured out that the eggs had Goldfish in them, they didn’t want to hunt any more – just wanted to eat.
Love this idea!!! I am actually entering this contest for baby Grace, our new family addition that will arrive this Summer Easter Memories in Texas…My sister & I are very close & we have always celebrated Easter together with our families…we would hide Easter eggs for my niece & 3 boys to find. My niece never let them push her around too much, in fact, she collected more eggs than the boys did on several Easters As they have all become young adults & some married, we still have Easter baskets for each of them, color eggs every year & have Easter egg hunts, but now for plastic eggs filled with gift cards and money Great Family Fun Every Easter!!!
I’m still making Easter memories. Love hearing Keith Green’s Easter Song. It always give me (happy)chills. And I love that my sweet son has gotten into egg hunts. We used to phone it in, but last year he questioned why the eggs were empty. That was good while it lasted.
I love being able to dress my 3 girls in their Easter dresses and do an egg hunt outside after church. Growing up in CO Easter was always still so cold so it has been great to be in warmer area where we can enjoy the hunt and not freeze.
Thinking back to Easter as a little kid I always think of the little Easter egg colored dresses my grandmother would make my sister and I for church. We would match other than the color and have big beautiful straw hats to wear. We would go to church as a family and have a big meal afterwards. The weather always seems to be getting better and as a kid I remember just being so glad to be able to run around outside. I have always loved Easter for so many reasons but mostly because of how wonderful it is for my family to come together and share such a beautiful day!
My Favorite Easter memory is definitely the Easter Egg Hunts. We still do them as adults and have a separate one for the kids. It is so much fun!
How fun! As of recent, my favorite Easter memories have been of our little family celebrating together. We’ve had fun picnics, hidden lots of eggs, tried to get the perfect picture (which never happens). Since we don’t live near family, we’ve enjoyed celebrating with dear friends who’ve been like family to us. But, my favorite all-time Easter memory is from when I was little. The entire family would gather at my grandparents after church. We would play all day long with all the cousins with the occasional break for eating or Easter egg hunting. This inspires me to make this Easter memorable for my family of four!
Hi Kristen!
My favorite Easter memory would have to be the Easter egg hunts my grandparents would put together for all of the grandchildren. That, and the plastic Easter eggs my grandmother would string up on a tree out front to decorate
Love hearing about everyone’s memories! Check back in the morning to see if you won!
