A Saturday with the neighbors
Posted by Kristen on Jun 19, 2012 in Family Fun, Friendship, Seasonal, Switzerland | 3 commentsThis past weekend we spent our Saturday with our neighbors. We started the morning with some semi-successful strawberry picking and ended it with a big pot of Hungarian goulash over a fire pit and kids playing in the sprinkler.
you can barely see the mountains in this picture but they were visible yesterday!
Great job Scott and Erika! So yummy!
watch out world, Owen discovered the water guns!
snake bread (stick bread) over the fire
Strawberry Rhubard hand pies…from last weeks post (Southern Living)
I wish I got to eat the left-overs! Fun to see little boys playing.
I always wanted to go strawberry picking when we lived in Germany! I wish we did. I bet it’s tons of fun with kids. Happy Summer!
Next time you get the chance to go picking you should! It is a little stressful with kids if they fill the bucket with not so ripe or mushy strawberries but still worth it! I can’t remember where it is that you live, Ana, is it Singapore? If so you are close to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. They have tons of strawberry fields! And it is a nice cool break from the heat of the more tropical areas!
