A few tests down, one more to go…
Posted by Kristen on Apr 29, 2008 in Uncategorized | 19 commentsWe struggled through trying to get a CT scan today and after a few hours and 3 IV’s we were successful. The scans came back and there is no evidence of additional cancer in at least the abdomen, pelvis and chest. That is a huge answer to prayer. At this point we will move forward with surgery and then once we have a diagnosis we will determine what further treatment is needed. We have a bone scan tomorrow and surgery on Thursday. We will be admitted for a few days and then we will return home to hold him still and keep him off his knee!!! Not possible! We will keep you posted as we get more results.
We are tired in every way. Jackson had a rough day of being poked. We pray that the next few days are less painful for him. Pray that tomorrows testing goes smoothly and gets us home early in the day so that we can have time to rest before we head into the time of surgery and recovery.

My heart hurts so much for you…and our Father’s heart grieves for your pain. May you know His abiding peace and feel His arms surrounding you. My classes have been praying for Jackson’s healing and wisdom for you two and the doctors. Our God is Faithful!!

I heard from my mom about little Jackson. Sandra and I are praying that you guys are resting easy in the knowledge that God is great and all will work out according to His perfect will.
Seth, these obviously aren’t the best of circumstances to get reacquainted, but if you guys get a chance when you’re in town, maybe we all could get together and grab something to eat (we’re big fans of Whataburger, too). Our Isabella is only a month behind Jackson, and I’m sure they would enjoy each other.

There are not words to say. I am praying constantly for y’all.
Kristen, I especially pray for you as I can only imagine how much your heart hurts as a mommy to see your baby going through so much. Tonight I am going to drive by your parents home and leave two things on your front porch for you while you wait in the waiting room in the morning. I am not going to knock or anything because I don’t want you to have to put on smiles or see people when you are going through so much. I love you so much. Check your front porch around 7:30; it should be there by then.

Jennifer Bogart told me about your blog which I read from time to time. I am so saddened by this news. Please know I have been praying for you and have put Jackson on our church prayer chain. I can not even imagine…I am so thankful you have a relationship with the Lord to rely on. He will carry you when you are too weary to go on.
